Since Thanksgiving, Lesa has had a “Toys for Tots” tip jar
at the food service counter and periodically she has taken those collected tips
– on her own time and expense – and shopped for toy sales. The toys she has
purchased have gone into a barrel at the club and, after being picked up by the
Marines, will be distributed to needy children.
She’s already filled one barrel with some 75 toys and she’s
hoping to collect even more in the last few days before Christmas. Last year,
she raised enough for 80 toys!
