Paz and Halward Advance in NCGA Four-Ball

Frank Paz and Bill Halward,who qualified back in January, in the ASMC NCGA Four Ball tournament made it past the semi-finals at Sunnyvale Municipal and will go on to represent Seascape in the Four Ball Championships, to be held at Poppy Hills and Spyglass on Monday and Tuesday, June 29th and 30th.

Frank and Bill will be carrying the ASMC banner in these championships. If you see them on the golf course this week, wish them well as they attempt to bring home a championship for ASMC!

Tomasi and Partner Sweep the NCGA Senior Four Ball

ASMC Tournament Chairman Bob Tomasi and sidekick Phil Trounstine won the First Flight in the NCGA Senior Four Ball Qualifier in June, while Barry Baker and Craig Matthews won top honors in the Second Flight. The four will represent Seascape in the NCGA tournament.

John Hadley and Garth Watrous took second in the First Flight, folloob Nortonwed by Leon Johnson and Fred O'Hara. During the match, O'Hara scored a hole-in-one on No. 8!

Other top finishers in the First Flight were Sean Jiggins and Bryan Sanny and Phil Dick and Mike Beebe.

In the Second Flight, Gary Paul and Jim Baker were runners-up, followed by Bob Gadsby and Glenn Taylor; Bob Norton and Joe Claridge, and Bud Ralston and Allen Stobaugh.

Tim Carl and Pat Emerson won the Third Flight, followed by John Noce and Thom Coyle; Sid Martin and John Turk; Ray Geisick and Dick Staniford, and Jorgen Hagglof and John MacDonald.

Closest-to-the-pin honors on No. 8 went to Gary Paul, followed by Bob McCormick and Rich Richardson. O'Hara's ace won on No. 12, followed by John Turk and Joe Guttadauro.

Christenson, Humphreys, Fennel, Richardson Qualify to Represent Seascape in NCGA South Coast Zone

Josh Christenson shot 65 and Scott Humphreys and Tom McNary shot 70 for the lowest gross scores in the ASMC May tournament. And Bob Fennell’s 63 and Roland Richardson’s 68 were the best net scores among players with handicaps of 18.4 or less.

Rounding out the first flight were Jerry Woods, Gary Gogol and John Peterson.

Second flight winners were Allen Stobaugh, Bob Norton, Joe Claridge, Bill Campbell, Mike Oliver and Bob Heil.

Third Flight honors went to Fennell and Richardson, followed by Rodd Doerr, Danny Braga, Ben DeMarco and Jorgen Hagglof.

Fourth Flight winners were Mike Howley, Don Bonnel, Jeff Collins, Tim Carl, Tony Riccabonna and Pat Emerson.

Closest to the Pin on No. 8 were John Hadley, tim Carl and Bill Halward.
On No. 12, closest shooters were Craig Matthews (1’7”), Cameron Hanson and Bill McCabe.

Jesse Reuter Makes His First-Ever Ace on No. 6

ASMC membere Jesse Reuter had his first hole in one on Seascape's tough No. 6 on Sunday, April 19. Jesse used his driver on the 210-yard par 3.

Trounstine, Paz, May Win Flights in Spring Medal

Phil Trounstine, Frank Paz and Jack Marshall won their flights in the two-day Spring Medal tournament in April.

Craig Matthews came in second in the First Flight behind Trounstine, followed by Tom McNary, Mike Oliver, Scott Humphreys and Jerry Woods.

After Paz in the Second Flight came Ben DeMarco, Rodd Doerr, Gary Lovell, Allen Stobaugh and Mike Cloward.

In the third Flight, after Marshall, came Charlie May, Sid Martin, Bob Twaddle, Ferd LaRocca and Don Bonnel.

In Round One, closest shooters were Jim Geesman, Tony Riccabona and Danny Braga on No. 8 and John Christenson, Scott Humphreys and Mike Wade on No. 12.

In Round Two, closest honors on No. 8 went to Bob Tomasi, Frank Paz and John Peterson; and on No. 12 to Danny Braga, Jerry Woods, Scott Humphreys and Phil Trounstine (tie).

Geisick, Staniford, Nicholson, Marshall Win Cha-Cha-Cha

Ray Geisick, Dick Staniford, Russ Nicholson and Jack Marshall won the nifty Cha-Cha-Cha tournament in March.

John Reisdorf, Jorgen Hagglof, Jerry Woods and John MacDonald took second place, followed by Jon Ebbs, Louis Brennan, Paul McGillicuddy and Mike Howley.

Halward, Doerr, May Win Flights in February "39"

Bill Halward scored a +1 to win the First Flight of the "39" tournament in February, while Rodd Doerr won the Second Flight and Charlie May walked away with the Third Flight.

The "39" format has each player establish a number based on adding their handicap to -39 and then assigning points to eagles, birdies, pars and bogeys with the aim of getting to zero or above.

Bob McCormick took second in the First Flight, followed by Brandt Wilson, John Reisdorf, Tom McNary and Phil Dick.

In the Second Flight, Jim Geesman came in second, followed by Danny Braga, Gary Paul, Jorgen Hagglof and Ed Arredondo.

Third Flight finishers after May were John Cranston, Jack Wirth, Dick Staniford, Mike Howley and Marty Kendrick.

Closest-to-the-pin honors on No. 8 went to John Reisdorf, Bill Hlaward and Marty Kendrick. On No. 12, winners were Rodd Doerr, John Peterson and Tom McNary.
