Jack Wirth Leaves For Oakdale Area

Long time Seascape & former ASMC board member, Jack Wirth, sold his house on the left side of #2 fairway. After many years in Rio Del Mar, he and his wife Sue are moving to be closer to family and grandchildren. Jack served as Treasure and on the tournament committee during his time on the board back in the late 80's & early 90's.

Jack has many friends in and around the club. He was one of the regulars in the Tuesday morning foursome, in addition to a few other days during the week. Over the years, Jack and some of his golfing buddies would take fishing trips once a year....and always come back with some great stories and pictures. He played in most ASMC tourney's and found the "Winners" check often!
Jack is and always will be one of the club's...truly...nice guy's and will be sorely missed...We all wish Jack & Sue the best, as they settle in to their new routine in Escalon, Ca.

Editors Note: ASMC Member Tom Mckenna bought the Wirth's home, and part of the deal was getting Jack's personal golf cart...so their will still be a little reminder of our friend Jack!

Vandals Tear Up Golf Course

A group of young men in a red Jeep did doughnuts across the third hole at Seascape Golf Club early Friday, ripping up the grass and causing $1,000 to $2,000 in damage, the Sheriff's Office reported. Course staff called 911 around 2:45 a.m. to report that the Jeep tore up the lawn, then speed down Rio del Mar Blvd toward the beach area. Deputies found the Jeep parked on the 200 block and four young men nearby. They determined who the driver was and arrested that man. 19-year old LORENZO BOMBARDIERI of Live Oak, on suspicion of felony vandalism. Three others in the Jeep and a Boulder Creek man, 19, a 20-year old from Ben Lomond and a Rio del Mar resident, 21- were not arrested (WHY THE HELL NOT?) Bombardieri was booked into County Jail and later released.

#6 Gives Up A Rare Hole-In-One

ASMC Member Cameron Hanson, having only started playing golf three years ago had his first... and one of the few H-O-I's on the 201 yard, 6th hole with a 4-iron. Cam and his playing partners heard a noise from the tee box, as his shot went right in on the fly. It doesn't get any better than that. You can usually find Cam during the week, most mornings playing at least 9 holes, at the range or on the practice green. His passion for the game is paying off as he is down to a 1.9 index. Give Cam a "Big" golf clap the next time you see him and keep on eye out for him to make a run at this years Club Championships!
