Claridge, Twaddle, Ebbs Win Their Flights in the Eclectic

Joe Claridge shot a blistering second round to finish at 59 in the first flight of the August Eclectic and Bob Twaddle won the second flight with 58 while John Ebbs cleaned up in the third flight with an amazing 55.

The Eclectic, one of ASMC's most popular tournaments, is a two-day affair in which players can improve on each hole individually, contributing to a best-of-two-days net score. You can make a 7 on No. 1 in the first round and a 4 in the second round and your score for No. 1 is 4.

After Claridge, winners in the first flight were Phil Trounstine, Garth Watrous, Tom McNary, Josh Christenson and Curt Christenson.

Second flight winners after Twaddle were Rodd Doerr, Bill Campbell, George Wolfe, Ed Arredondo and Danny Braga.

Following Ebbs in the third flight were John MacDonald, Dave Schultz, Don Bonnel, Sid Martin and Bud Ralston.

Clostest-to-the-oin winnders in the first round were: #8 -- Phil Dick, John Peterson, Cam Hanson; #12 -- Phil Trounstine, Gabe Reyes, Ron Lindsay. In the second round the winners were: #8 -- Ron Lindsay, Gabe Reyes, Gary Paul; #12 -- Fred O'Hara, Dave Frock and Ed Arredondo.

The big news here was that for the first ASMC tournament in three months, Fred O'Hara did NOT make a hole in one on #12 -- but he did knock it to 2'8"!!!
