Time to Renew Your ASMC Membership

It’s that time of year again. Our annual membership sign up period begins October 1, 2009, and extends thru December 28, 2009. Regrettably, for the first time in three years, our dues have to be increased. NCGA has raised our prices $6 per person, so the Board is raising our ASMC dues $5 to $85 for the year. New memberships, and “LATE” sign ups (a fter December 28) will be $100. Junior memberships, which have not increased in price since 1984, have been raised to $18, part of which will be subsidized by a $6 donation by ASMC, so the cost to Juniors will be $12.

With our NCGA and ASMC memberships, we are provided with our handicap cards, reduced fees at Poppy Hills and Poppy Ridge, the NCGA magazines, seasonal discounts at Pebble Beach Resort golf courses, hotel discounts, 7% discount at Dell Computer, mobile-ready website with the opportunity to post scores, read rulings, and more (information on these and other offers are available at ncga.org). Through ASMC and our monthly tournaments, you can qualify for many golf tournaments run by NCGA. In addition, ASMC memberships offers opportunities for getting to know other golfers through our social events, opportunities to buy and sell used equipment through the bl og, and pleasant golf with special friends here at Seascape.

The Membership Committee will be providing new applications forms by mail, at Seascape, and possibly on our club Blog beginning the first week in October.
